Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using LiveGlobalChat, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Community Guidelines. These Terms form a binding legal agreement between you and LiveGlobalChat. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of the Service

LiveGlobalChat connects users at random for one-on-one video, voice, and text conversations, with optional country, gender, and interest filtering, as well as country-based chat rooms. Conversations are peer-to-peer wherever technically possible; our servers primarily assist with matchmaking and connection signaling. Features, filters, and matchmaking rules may change, be added, or be removed at any time without prior notice.

2.1 Video Chat

Random, one-on-one webcam conversations connecting you with another user via a live peer-to-peer video and audio connection. Video Chat is subject to the pre-match safety checks and on-device detection signals described in Section 5.

2.2 Text Chat

Random, one-on-one text-based conversations without video or audio. Text Chat may include an optional, clearly labeled AI companion feature that can interact with you while you wait to be matched with another user; this feature is disclosed in-app and is never presented as a real person.

2.3 Voice Chat

Random, one-on-one audio-only conversations, with the same country, gender, and category filtering options available in Video Chat, but without a live video feed.

2.4 Country Rooms

Persistent, topic- or country-based chat rooms where multiple users can join the same space at once, rather than being paired one-on-one. Room content is visible to all participants in that room, and the same conduct rules in Section 4 and safety systems in Section 5 apply.

2.5 Direct / Friend Matching

Where available, this feature lets two users who exchange a unique friend ID reconnect directly with each other instead of being randomly matched. You are responsible for who you share your friend ID with, and the same conduct and safety rules apply to these sessions as to random matches.

3. Eligibility & Age Requirement

Users must be at least 18 years old. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to agree to these terms. The Service is not directed at, and must not be used by, anyone under 18.

3.1 Age Verification & Enforcement

• We may use automated checks (including camera-based signals) as part of our safety systems described below to help flag accounts that appear to violate this requirement.
• Accounts reasonably suspected of belonging to a minor will be suspended pending review and may be permanently terminated.
• Parents or guardians who believe a minor has accessed the Service should contact us immediately at support@liveglobalchat.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

4. User Conduct & Content

You are solely responsible for your communications and any content you post, stream, or transmit through the Service. Prohibited conduct and content includes, without limitation:

• Nudity, sexual content, or sexually suggestive behavior of any kind.
• Content or behavior involving, sexualizing, or endangering minors in any way.
• Illegal, abusive, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or obscene content.
• Hate speech, discrimination, or content that promotes violence against individuals or groups.
• Impersonation of another person, or misrepresentation of your identity or age.
• Spam, unsolicited advertising, scams, or attempts to redirect users to third-party services or payment schemes.
• Violations of another person's privacy, including recording or sharing someone's image or conversation without consent.
• Violations of intellectual property rights.
• Circumventing, disabling, or interfering with our safety, moderation, or matchmaking systems.
• Any activity that violates our Community Guidelines.

5. Safety, Moderation & AI-Assisted Systems

To help keep the community safe, LiveGlobalChat uses a combination of automated and human review tools, including:

• Pre-match safety checks: a short analysis may run before a match is connected to help screen for policy violations.
• On-device detection signals: automated face-presence and content-classification signals may run locally in your browser to flag likely violations (for example, exposed content). These signals are used to warn users and apply a strike system; they are designed to avoid falsely banning users based on lighting or camera conditions alone, but repeated or confirmed violations can result in temporary or permanent restrictions.
• Trust & reputation scoring: community feedback (such as likes/dislikes and reports) contributes to an internal trust score that can affect matchmaking and account standing.
• Human moderation: our moderation team reviews reports and may take action independently of automated systems.

These systems are safety tools, not a guarantee that you will never encounter objectionable content or behavior from other users. You use the Service, including any random matching feature, at your own risk and discretion.

6. Recording, Reporting & Evidence

When you submit a report about another user, the Service may capture a limited snapshot or record of the interaction solely to support review and enforcement of these Terms and our Community Guidelines. Such records are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and are not used for any purpose other than trust, safety, and legal compliance. Recording another user's video, audio, or messages outside of this built-in reporting function, without their consent and where prohibited by law, is not permitted.

7. Virtual Currency & In-App Features

LiveGlobalChat may offer optional virtual currency, credits, or similar in-app features to enhance your experience. Unless otherwise stated, virtual currency has no real-world monetary value, is non-transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and may be adjusted, reset, or discontinued at our discretion. Any paid features will be described with their specific terms at the point of purchase.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share your personal data, including data related to safety systems described in Section 5. By using LiveGlobalChat, you consent to our practices as described there.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and software on LiveGlobalChat are the property of LiveGlobalChat or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or use our intellectual property without express written permission, except as necessary to use the Service as intended.

10. Third-Party Links & Advertising

The Service may display advertising, including through Google AdSense, and may link to third-party websites or services that we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party. Interactions with advertisers or third-party sites are solely between you and that third party.

11. Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any actual or suspected violation of these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law, or for any other reason at our discretion. Certain safety-related restrictions (for example, strikes accumulated under Section 5) may be enforced automatically and persist across sessions.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

LiveGlobalChat is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free access, nor that any content shared by other users will be appropriate, accurate, or safe.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LiveGlobalChat and its affiliates, officers, and employees will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including your interactions with other users.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LiveGlobalChat and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any rights of a third party.

15. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service should first be raised with us informally at support@liveglobalchat.com so we can attempt to resolve it directly.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Updated terms will be effective upon posting, and the "Last Updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
